Toad, the player’s character in the game, has to arrange monsters and bombs to stop Wario from taking control of the forest. The player controls a character who moves the already fallen objects. Toad can pick up individual objects or whole columns of objects and move them elsewhere. The object of the game is to clear the player’s screen of objects, the objects of this game being the monsters. This is accomplished by arranging monsters and bombs of the same color in horizontal, diagonal or vertical rows of three or more blocks. Clearing four objects at once lowers your opponent’s screen by one row in Vs. mode, or gives you more time in single-player mode.

Right after the events of The Legend Of Zelda, Link notices a weird mark on the back of his left hand, like the crest of Hyrule. He finds Impa, who takes Link to a door in the North Castle, the door has not opened for many years. Impa puts Link’s left hand on the door, and opens it, showing a sleeping maiden. Impa tells Link that the maiden is Zelda, Hyrule’s Princess of long ago. Zelda’s brother had tried to force her into telling where their recently died father had hidden the three golden triangle treasures of the kingdom, known as the Triforce. Princess Zelda refused to tell him the information, so the prince’s friend who was a Wizard, in anger, tried to kill her with a spell. But put a sleeping spell instead, and also resulted in his own death. The prince, being unable to change the spell, placed his sister in the castle tower, hoping that she would one day awaken. He decreed that females born in the royal family from then on would be named Zelda, in remembrance of this tragedy.
The player takes the role of Mario. The object is to race through the Mushroom Kingdom, destroying Bowers’s forces and save Princess Peach. Mario’s main attack is jumping on top of their enemies, which kills the Goombas, and puts the turtle soldiers, into their shells. Mario can then kick these shells into other enemies, which will eliminate them. If Mario gets a mushroom he will be able to take two hits before losing a life. Some enemies cannot be killed by jumping on them, these enemies can only be killed by turtle shell or fireball as jumping on them will hurt the Mario. Mario can obtain 1-ups through finding 1-up mushrooms or by collecting 100 coins.
Ryu Hayabusa must clear his name after being framed for the murder of his girlfriend, Irene Lew. When Ryu gos to the last known location of Irene, he finds a ally in Clancy, who used to know Foster, the director of the CIA and a old acquaintance of Ryu. Foster and Clancy were part of an experiment, part of the “Biohazard Plan”, using abnormal energies from a strange rift created when Ryu killed The Demon. Foster created robot like Ryu Hayabusa. It was this bio-noid that murdered Irene when she discovered Foster’s plans. Later Ryu comes face-to-face with this bio-noid, Ryu is beaten in armed combat but is spared, cause the bio-noid orders from Foster. Ryu forges on and eventually arrives at his final destination, the ruins of Castle Rock Fortress. Ryu enters one final confrontation with Clancy and emerges victorious.
The plot begins one year after the end of last Ninja Gaiden game. wtih the help of a special force agent named Robert T.S. Ryu learns that a dark wizard named Ashtar has kidnapped Irene Lew, Ryus girlfriend. Ryu follows Ashtar to his temple, where Ashtar stabes Irene in the back, laughing with her blood dripping down his blade. His true intentions are now found out. The sword feeds on chaos and fear, Ashtar plans to use the power to open the gates of the realm of chaos. All together Ninja Gaiden 2 The Dark Sword of Chaos is a great game.
Players can choose from four different characters Peach, Luigi, Mario, and Toad each with its own special ability’s. Peach can hover in mid air for a few seconds, Luigi can jump very high, Mario is well rounded in all areas, and Toad is very agile and can pick up things very quickly. This is the first Mario game to make use of the life meter starting out with two units but you can get up to four. Players are also able to perform a “Power Squat ” by pushing down for a couple of seconds which enables him to jump extra high. Most enemies can be defeated by throwing vegetables that you pluck from the ground.
